Whatever – Whenever – Urban Oasis

7 Sep

Sign me up! Who wouldn’t want to win a stunning New York City Apartment in the downtown W Hotel?  Entirely designed by Vern Yip, wowza! This apartment is ahhhhhhhmazing! The location, the details & the views make this apartment one of my favorite Vern projects. I love the architectural elements that Vern brings in to every space he designs. Starting with the floor plan and building everything else around that plan is fun to watch.  By the way….did you happen to catch the Urban Oasis special on HGTV last night?  If you missed it, I’m sure you can catch it again and it’s definitely worth setting the DVR for.

You can visit the Urban Oasis area on HGTV and see every thing from floor plans, photographs and details on where to shop for the gorgeous items in the apartment. Vern is right, the artwork makes the space and tells stories of New York now and then!

Here are a few of my favorites:

Entry:

The Living Room:

Kitchen:

I’m a HUGE fan of the acrylic Ghost Chair by Philippe Starck, what a perfect way to keep a small space open! Stainless, stainless and more stainless. The chic / masculine mix keep the small kitchen open and a great place to hang.

Bedroom:

Greek Key, Orange and Mirrored furniture, I’m so in!!

Bathroom:

The pattern, textures and multiple finishes make this bathroom more interesting and of course stylish!
