I stopped by Aaron Brother’s Art and Framing last week to pick up a few things and walked past this new fabric shop. Of course I had to stop in, the bright fabrics and turquoise room divider caught my eye instantly.

Yay Yay Yay!!! We are sooo excited to finally share our profile in the January / February 2010 issue. As always a HUGE THANK YOU to my kind, giving and talented friend Melanie Johnson for her amazing photographs. She has been such a blessing to Studio Ten 25 and of course to my life. And of course we are also thankful to have clients that allow us to take over their home in order to capture the look and feel that we have created to them.
Enjoy!

I have been working on a fun project for a client and have finally finished the design development on their home office. My client has had beautiful dark espresso hardwood floors installed throughout most of their first floor and we are in the process of updating the fireplace, furnishing the living room and creating a romantic glamourous master bedroom! As you can see there are lots of things to do around their place and these newlyweds have great style too.
The home office is going to be awesome! My client has already purchased the desk from Crate & Barrel and is looking for a stylish way to store and hide his printer, files and everyday office items. This room is on the fast track so I will share the details as they begin to unfold!
Here is a sneak peak of the finish board and a floor plan of the room. The layout of the room is simple. There will be two “floating” bookshelves on the back wall with the storage console in between. My client has a painting that he has purchased and it will be come the focal point of the room as it hangs between the bookshelves. You can see the elevation of the back wall to the right of the floor plan.
This rug is stunning and will look great on top of the dark hardwood floors. I love how the rug ties in with the painting and we will add a few more pops of orange to complete the space.

I stopped by to see the progress in my client’s kitchen remodel a few weeks ago and wanted to share a few detail pictures. The major elements of the room are in place but there are a few tiny details left to complete the space. My clients have been so patient during the remodel and are looking forward to entertaining in their new space! Of course Melanie at Melanie Johnson Photography will once again add her magic touch when she photographs the space early next year!
Here are a few pictures of the new details…and of course a reminder of the before.

My husband and I have been sitting around trying to find the perfect gift for each other for two weeks now! Since we are buying things we want throughout the year, it seams crazy to just buy something for each other just to buy something. So, we have decided to give each of our Christmas budgets to someone who would really appreciate it! We are going to help a less fortunate child to have a fabulous Christmas no matter what life has thrown them!
My husband is involved with an AMAZING organization here in Texas, Azelway Boy’s home. Azleway has been faithfully restoring lives and relationships of children in crisis since 1979! Today, there are over 560 boys and girls who call Azleway ‘home.’Regardless of their situation when they go to Azelway, their purpose, vision and driving passion remains the same. To bring each child into a caring environment where they receive structure, compassion, educational opportunities, and coping skills with the ultimate goal being to direct them back to a healthy family environment.
Christmas is the worst time of year for a child that has no family or place to call home. So, this year we are going to donate to Azelway so they can provide a wonderful and memorable Christmas to a child!

They can always use help so if you are looking to adopt a child for Christmas, they can always use the help. Just look at these faces!! How can you resist??

Just a typical Saturday around the Fenimore house. The laundry is finally done, the hubby is playing golf and I really need to finish Christmas shopping. The puppies have been enjoying the rainy weather in the back yard… So much that they were covered in mud! So, while they are drying off from their bath and winding down in their kennel, I decided to do a little shopping!
Of course I decided to drop in to my local TJMaxx Homegoods store! I had to share a few pics of the fabulous finds. Great design doesn’t have to cost a fortune! With a little time, patience and a few trips to TJMaxx you never know what will inspire you!

I’m sooooo excited to have my stunning business cards in hand! Rose at Bittersweet Design Boutique did such an amazing job with my new logo and overall branding. Working with Rose was simple and I think she captured our vision perfectly. Bittersweet specializes in coming up with good ideas, sketching them out by hand, turning them upside-down, then transforming those ideas that start out on cocktail napkins into professional, digital works of art. Bittersweet can do anything from branding / logos, baby announcements to wedding invitations and save the dates.
Rose just posted Studio Ten 25’s new swag on her blog….check it out and let us know what you think!

I just realized that it has been over a month since I have posted anything on the blog! We have been busy keeping up with projects in the studio as well as managing other projects around the house. One of the items on our blog “to-do” list is a kitchen remodel that is full speed ahead. Here are a few before pictures as well as the inspiration board for the final finishes. The cabinets have been painted a fresh white, the floors and backsplash are out and the new blue-gray wall color is going up too. Hopefully we have the after pictures soon.
Here is the inspiration board for the project. The cabinets will be painted a fresh white to match the existing trim throughout the house. The center island is getting a makeover too. We are removing the storage on one half to make way for a new seating area and then grounding it by painting it black. Caesar Stone Pebble and Misty Carrera (on the island) was selected for the countertops. A 4×8 white matte subway tile for the back splash will bring in the modern sleek feel our owners are looking for. A black slate will replace the existing neutral tile and we will finish off the space with sleek bamboo shades and new seating around the island bar. It will be stunning and a major change for our home owners. Let’s hope they make it through the construction while living in the house!
